Event Description

Fall Equinox UFO Stargazing Weekend Camp out

Come join us September 22 & 23 Friday and Saturday night.

The Moon will just be seting as the Sun sets @ 9:33pm.

This will make for a nice dark night to look at the stars, Saturn will be lo in the SW.

I plan on taking a look through my telescope.

September 20 - New Moon. The Moon will be located on the same side of the Earth as the Sun and will not be visible in the night sky. This phase occurs at 05:30 UTC. This is the best time of the month to observe faint objects such as galaxies and star clusters because there is no moonlight to interfere.

September 22 - September Equinox. The September equinox occurs at 20:02 UTC. The Sun will shine directly on the equator and there will be nearly equal amounts of day and night throughout the world. This is also the first day of fall (autumnal equinox) in the Northern Hemisphere and the first day of spring (vernal equinox) in the Southern Hemisphere.

Camping is available with powered sites for RV’s or bring a Tent if you like.

There will be no charge for this event since I have always maintained I would never charge or profit from my UFO experiences however camping for this event is at a reduced rate of $15.00 for weekend with power $10.00 for weekend with out power and 15.00 a night for cabins.
